Dana White On Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Conor McGregor: ‘You Gotta Do It In Vegas’

UFC President Dana White says that a potential fight between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov happen in Las Vegas not Russia.

UFC President Dana White has said today that if Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor do fight each other then it will happen in Las Vegas, Nevada and not Russia.

The UFC are yet to state publicly whether or not they will punish McGregor for his actions earlier this month in Brooklyn, New York after he injured two UFC fighters and several UFC staff after throwing a dolly at a bus.

Speaking to TMZ Sports earlier today, White said that the UFC wouldn’t be taking any action against McGregor until his case has been heard in court on June 14.

He’s gotta be punished by the law first,” White said.

“Let’s see what happens in New York.”

Talk of McGregor fighting Nurmagomedov is now rife in the MMA community and White at least appears to want to make the fight happen.

McGregor has previously said that he’d be willing to go to Nurmagomedov’s own backyard of Russia to fight huim, but according to White, there’s only one place on earth that a fight of this magnitude could take place.

“If you do a fight that big, you gotta do it in Vegas,” White said.

“Khabib will fight in Russia at some point, but it wont be that fight. It’s too big. Ya gotta do it in Vegas.”

It’s now all eyes on McGregor’s hearing in June to see whether or not the book will be thrown at the Irishman.

With Nurmagomedov recently stating that he was targeting a return near the end of the year, the Dec. 29 UFC 232 card could be the one if McGregor escapes major punishment from the New York City judge.
