Mike Perry Books His Next Fight at UFC 226: Miocic vs. Cormier

Mike Perry will make his return to action at UFC 226 where he faces Hawaiian welterweight Yancy Medeiros

A welterweight matchup with ‘Fight of the Night’ written all over it has been added to UFC 226 as Mike Perry will face off with Yancy Medeiros on July 7 in Las Vegas.

UFC officials confirmed the fight via the Las Vegas Review-Journal on Tuesday.

Perry will look to bounce back following two straight losses in his most recent fights as he fell to both Santiago Ponzinibbio and Max Griffin in consecutive bouts.

As for Medeiros, his three fight win streak was snapped when he faced Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone back in February. Now the Hawaiian born welterweight will look to get back in track while facing a fellow knockout striker in Perry.

Perry vs. Medeiros is the latest addition to the UFC 226 card headlined by heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic taking on light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.
