Nate Diaz Backs Conor McGregor Following His Attack at UFC 223 Media Day
Conor McGregor may be public enemy No. 1 right now after his actions on Thursday but he’s got at least one fighter backing him up after he attacked a bus holding several UFC fighters in Brooklyn.
Nate Diaz dropped a message on Twitter that appeared to support McGregor in his actions after he arrived at the Barclays Center with a huge entourage apparently looking for UFC 223 main event fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The incident reportedly popped off after Nurmagomedov was involved in an incident of his own with McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov earlier this week. That video showed Nurmagomedov and his crew confronting Lobov, who was by himself, in a heated incident that was also captured on camera.
Diaz fired back at Nurmagomedov, who was apparently the target of McGregor’s rage as he was throwing trashcans and other items at the bus where the Russian fighter was being held.
“He shouldn’t have been trying to punk his boy when he was alone, like a bully. Then he expects not to get rolled on f–king rookie,” Diaz wrote addressing Nurmagomedov on Twitter.
“And then stay on the bus. You guys got punked.”

Diaz will probably never be McGregor’s biggest fan considering their history together through two past fights but he’s well aware of how these situations can escalate in a hurry.
Back in 2010, Nate Diaz and his older brother Nick were involved in a melee in Nashville that involved Jason “Mayhem” Miller after he interrupted their teammate Jake Shields just moments after he defeated Dan Henderson in Strikeforce.
The Diaz brothers ended up attacking Miller in the middle of the cage as a huge riot broke out before security could intervene and break up the melee.
