Christian Lee And Angela Lee To Make History Fighting In World Titles Fights On The Same Evening
History looks set to be made on May 18 when siblings Angela and Christian Lee compete for MMA world titles on the same evening at ONE: Unstoppable Dreams.
The ONE Championship atomweight world title fight between Angela Lee and Mei Yamaguchi will see the two rematch from their famous title fight back in May 2016. Angela recovered from being knocked down early in the fight to control the later rounds and win her first world title aged just 19 via a unanimous decision. Since then, Angela has defended the title twice with wins over Jenny Huang and Istela Nunes.
Angela now looks set to break even more records, but this time she will be doing alongside her younger brother Christian Lee who according to multiple sources close to MMANytt.com (and @JHKMMA) will face ONE featherweight champion Martin Nguyen on the same night.
Christian and Nguyen last fought back in August 2016 when after a fast-paced, frenetic opening few minutes, Nguyen submitted Christian via a guillotine choke. Since that loss, Christian has won four fights on the bounce including a win over former title contender Kazunori Yokota last month.
ONE Championship are yet to officially announce the Christian Lee vs Martin Nguyen bout.
