Aleksandar Rackic vs Justin Ledet Targeted For UFC Hamburg Event

Alesandar Rakic vs Justin Ledet is in the works for a UFC event in Hamburg, Germany.

The UFC will return to Hamburg, Germany on July 22 and the first fight contracts are making their way out.

Sources close to MMANytt.com have told us that a light heavyweight bout between Aleksandar Rakic and Justin Ledet is in the works for the event set to take place at the Barclaycard Arena.

Rakic (9-1) is riding a nine fight win streak and made a successful UFC debut last year when he defeat Francimar Barroso at UFC 115 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The Austrian trains out of Gym 23 in Vienna, Austria and put together a decent run of form on the Austrian domestic scene before making his UFC debut last year. Rakic was expected to meet Gadzhimurad Antigulov in February, but the bout was called off for reasons that were never disclosed. He will now look to make it two wins in two when he takes on an undefeated man making his way down from heavyweight.

Ledet (9-0) has three wins in three fighting in they UFC heavyweight division but will making his way down to 205-pounds for the the first time since 2013. The American made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 92 when he defeated Chase Sherman in 2016. He then defeated Brit Mark Godbeer in the same year, before then going on to beat Azunna Anyanwu at UFC Fight Night 116 in 2017.

The UFC officially announced the event in Hamburg earlier his week. The promotion first visited the venue in Sept. 2016 when Josh Barnett defeated Andrei Arlovski via submission in the second round.
