Ronda Rousey Books Second WWE Appearance at Same Site as Final Fight in UFC

Ronda Rousey has booked her second appearance in WWE and perhaps it’s just a coincidence but the event takes place in the same building as her last fight in the UFC.

On Monday, Rousey was announced to appear at WWE “Elimination Chamber”, a pay-per-view event taking place on Sunday night, Feb. 25 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

That arena served as the home to Rousey’s last fight in the UFC where she suffered a loss to Amanda Nunes back in 2016. By all accounts that will likely be the final fight of Rousey’s career as she kicks off a new multi-year contract with WWE.

Rousey’s appearance at the “Elimination Chamber” event is to sign her contract to officially join the Monday Night Raw brand as WWE currently has their roster split between two live shows airing on the USA Network on Monday and Tuesday nights.

It was interesting that when Rousey’s name was mentioned, a loud chorus of boos followed closely behind from the crowd in attendance in San Jose on Monday night.

Obviously the contract signing is part of the show and Rousey will undoubtedly kick off her WWE career with some sort of altercation that will undoubtedly help kick off her first rivalry in the promotion.

Rousey is also expected to appear at WrestleMania in April, which is the biggest annual event for WWE each year.

As of now, there’s no word on who Rousey will wrestle in her first match or what she’s expected to do at WrestleMania, although rumors have persisted that she may be working in some sort of match with WWE executive Stephanie McMahon.

Many of those questions will probably be answered when Rousey drops by the “Elimination Chamber” pay-per-view in two weeks time for her next appearance in WWE.
