Angela Lee Is Back!!! ONE’s Atomweight World Champion Announces Return Date
After a brief period out of action recovering from a horrific car crash, ONE Championship’s Angela Lee looks set to make her return to the cage on May 18 at ONE: Unstoppable Dreams.
Lee released the news on her Instagram account this morning stating:
“Ya miss me yet? 3rd title defence coming soon: May 18, 2018. Mark your calendars! #UNSTOPPABLE.”
Lee (8-0) has fought exclusively in ONE since her debut and has won all 8 of her fights. The 21-year-old won the ONE atomweight world title back in May 2016 when she defeated Mei Yamaguchi in a back and forth fight where Lee was knocked down in the third round. After making an incredible comeback to capture the title in the championship rounds, Lee has since defended the belt twice against Jenny Huang and Istela Nunes.
Lee was then set to rematch Yamaguchi in Nov. 2017, but had to withdraw from the bout after being involved in a car crash where she was lucky to escape without serious injury.
ONE: Unstoppable Dreams will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore on a Friday. ONE Championship are yet to officially confirm the news or announce any other fights for the card.
