Indian Fighter Rajinder Singh Meena Wins First Fight In ONE Championship At Seventh Time Of Asking
Many would’ve possibly given up, but Indian fighter Rajinder Singh Meena showed the true qualities of martial artist today and picked up his first win under the ONE Championship banner at ONE: Global Superheroes.
Meena walked into the bout with a 0-6 losing record under the ONE Championship banner with losses to Peter Davis, Honorio Banario, Farhad Hazratzada, Patrick Benson, Amir Khan and Shannon Wirtatchai.
The Indian fighter faced Chinese fighter Ze Hao Zhang today having not won since 2014, but that losing streak was put to bed in emphatic fashion.
Meena and Zhang swung for the fences from the outset and with barely 25-seconds on the clock Zhang rushed in on the backpedalling Meena. Unfortunately for the Chinese fighter, his aggression lead to him getting dropped by a right hook and as he lay dazed on the mat Meena took full advantage sunk in a guillotine choke. With nowhere to go, Zhang didn’t tap was rendered unconscious within 15-seconds.
