Matt Brown Doesn’t Want ‘Fight of the Night’ for Rumored Matchup Against Carlos Condit
Despite the excitement about his upcoming fight against Carlos Condit in April, Matt Brown forewarns fans not to expect a bloodbath when they step into the cage together.
On the latest Fight Society podcast, Matt addresses his rumored matchup against Condit while saying that the last thing he wants is a ‘Fight of the Night’ award when the event is over.
Instead, Matt suggests that he would prefer a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus for beating Condit up and walking out with his hand raised without taking much damage in return.
“I don’t anticipate me and Carlos having a great fight” Brown explained. “I think I’m going to go in there and I’m going to walk through him. I think I’m going to beat him pretty good and pretty handily so that’s what I plan on doing. I don’t think it’s going to be quite as exciting as people expect it to be.”
In addition to that subject, Matt and Damon will also break down the action from this past weekend’s UFC 220 card including whether or not Stipe Miocic is now the greatest heavyweight of all time following his win over Francis Ngannou.
Matt will also go in depth with the recent weight cutting problems the UFC has faced including Uriah Hall’s harrowing experience that ended with him in the hospital after reportedly suffering a seizure.
