Nate Diaz Teases Possible Return to Fighting in May or June
It looks like Nate Diaz is tired of sitting on the sidelines.
After last competing against Conor McGregor in 2016, Diaz has been offered several fights to make his return to action in the UFC but nothing has interested him enough to accept.
Now judging by Diaz’s latest post on social media, it appears he’s ready to book his next fight in 2018.
“Sick of sitting around waiting for you f–kers to do s–t,” Diaz wrote on Instagram. “There’s no excitement in this fight s–t step your games up. I’ll see you around May, June. Sincerely The Real Champ.”
Diaz has been rather active on his Instagram account posting photos from past fights, perhaps hinting that he’s anxious to resume his career.
In his last outing, Diaz lost a razor close majority decision to McGregor in one of the best fights of the year. Five months earlier, Diaz choked out McGregor, handing the Irishman his only loss since joining the UFC roster.
Since then, Diaz was given an opportunity to face Tony Ferguson, Eddie Alvarez and even a rumored welterweight title fight against Tyron Woodley but none of those matchups came together.
Now it certainly seems like Diaz is ready to inject some excitement into the UFC with his potential return later this year.
