Brock Lesnar Fight ‘Possible’ And ‘Very Easy’ For Francis Ngannou Says Coach Fernand Lopez

Fernand Lopez says a future showdown with Brock Lesnar is certainly possible for Francis Ngannou.

Francis Ngannou will fight for the UFC title in 7 days time, but could a possible showdown with the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar be in his future.

The prospect of the two ever meeting in the Octagon remains a long way from becoming a reality, but should Ngannou successfully defeat Stipe Miocic next week it would arguably make for one of the biggest UFC heavyweight title fights in the promotion’s history.

Speaking last week at the MMA Factory Paris in France, Ngannou’s coach Fernand Lopez spoke was asked about the possibility of the fight taking place and he said he wouldn’t be surprised at all if the fight did happen one day.

“That’s possible,” Lopez said. “Seeing how the roster is poor, it’s possible. That’s an easy fight, very easy fight.

“As a coach, that would be easy work.”

Lopez went on to explain why he thinks Ngannou would have and easy time against Lesnar and why other fighters on the roster would pose a much bigger problem.

“The problem with Francis [for Lesnar] isn’t his strength,” Lopez said. “Francis wouldn’t have a problem. The people that can bring him difficulties are the guys that are smart. The guys that can adapt.

“Smart guys like Cain [Velasquez], like Stipe [Miocic], like [Fabricio] Werdum. Those guys are smart and those guys have a lot of experience. With all due respect, Brock is a big dude, but Francis knows how to deal with big dudes.”

UFC 220 goes down next weekend when Miocic vs Ngannou will fight it out for the UFC heavyweight title in the main event.
