Nick Diaz Gets Shown Around The UFC PI And He Likes It: ‘Sign Me Up’

Could we ever see Nick Diaz in the UFC Octagon again? It's unlikely, but we might start seeing him at the UFC PI.

A Nick Diaz UFC return looks increasing unlikely each day, but today, he at least stepped inside the UFC Performance Institute for the first time and took a wander around with the UFC’s VP of Athlete Development, Reed Harris.

Diaz, a frequent visitor to Las Vegas, appears to have had quite the 24-hours according to his Instagram story.

Prior to his visit to the UFC PI, Diaz is shown showing off his skills with a pair of nun chucks, and then seven hours later hitting what appear to be multiple blunts in a casino.

11 hours later, Diaz then hits the PI where Harris appears to give him the induction tour, showing him the workout area, the wall of fame and then the rest and relaxation area.

As the tour looks to be winging up, Harris says: “If you want to come in, you just to let us know so we can put your name down.”

Diaz then responds by saying: “Right on, sign me up.”

Of course, the day ends with Diaz smoking a giant Cuban cigar… as you do.

Does this mean a Nick Diaz return is on the cards?

Well according to UFC VP of Athlete Health and Performance Jeff Novitzky, he think does want to fight again. Speaking on the Joe Rogan MMA Show (H/T MMA Junkie transcribe) last week, Novitzky said:

“I think he does [want to fight], I think he does. I’ve sat down with him over the past couple months trying to resolve this whereabouts issues. The unfortunate thing there is, look, the whereabouts failures are there to catch people that are cheating and trying to avoid testing. I just think Nick’s lifestyle led to those three whereabouts, not that he was trying to avoid testing. We’re trying to work through that.

“[Nick] trusted certain individuals to do his whereabouts for him. What I think happened was, over time, those individuals were in and out of his life, and it was unbeknownst to him that he was missing all these things. But again, there’s strict liability here. He’s currently under sanction, but we’re hoping to resolve that pretty quick.”

Unless Diaz needs the money, a return looks unlikely.
