Sara McMann Announces Her Fight Against Former Invicta FC Champ Yana Kunitskaya at UFC on FOX 28

Sara McMann announced that she will be facing Yana Kuntiskaya in Feb.

Former title contender Sara McMann will get back in action when she faces former Invicta FC fighter Yana Kunitskaya at UFC on FOX 28 from Orlando, Fla. on Feb. 24.

McMann announced the fight via her Instagram account.

McMann (11-4) has been out of action since Sept. when she suffered a stunning loss to Ketlen Vieira by second round arm triangle choke, which brought an end to her recent three fight win streak.

Now the former Olympic silver medalist in wrestling will attempt to get back into the contender’s race while facing a tough challenge from a first time UFC fighter.

Kunitskaya (10-3, 1 NC) moves to the UFC from Invicta FC where she was the bantamweight champion after just winning the belt in August after previous title holder Tonya Evinger moved over to the UFC as well.

Now Kunitskaya will vacate her Invicta FC title to prepare to face McMann in Feb. in a pivotal matchup at 135 pounds.

UFC on FOX 28 takes place from Orlando with a main event for the card still to be determined.
