UFC 219 Medical Suspensions: Holly Holm Out Until March And A Possible Lengthy Timeout For Cynthia Calvillo
The medical suspensions for UFC 219 which took place this past Saturday have been released today and Cynthia Calvillo could be amongst three fighters who might not be cleared to fight again until July.
Holly Holm will be suspended until March 2, but that does open up the option for her to compete on the UFC 222 fight card which takes places on March 3. The winner of the co-main event, Cris Cyborg, seemingly came out the bout with no lasting injuries and is available to compete again when the call comes.
Three fighters who could face lengthy periods on the sidelines include Calvillo, Neil Magny and Omari Okhmedov. All three injured their left hands in their fights on Saturday and will have to be cleared by an orthopaedic doctor should they wish to compete again before July.
Edson Barboza has also been suspended until March 2.
