Cris Cyborg Earns Half Million Dollar Payday for UFC 219 Main Event
Cris Cyborg inked a lucrative new multi-fight deal with the UFC just a couple of months ago after winning the women’s featherweight championship and now we’re getting a peak at what she’s being paid.
According to the Nevada State Athletic Commission, Cyborg will make $500,000 for her first title defense against Holly Holm at UFC 219 on Saturday night.
Cyborg tops the payroll for the card making a flat $500,000 fee with no win bonus tacked on at the end of the night.
As for Holm, she’s the second highest paid athlete on the card making a flat $300,000 for her part in the main event, which will serve as her second shot at the UFC women’s featherweight title.
In the co-main event, undefeated Russian wrecking machine Khabib Nurmagomedov will make $80,000 to show with another $80,000 to win.
Meanwhile, Edson Barboza is just behind him with $75,000 to fight and $75,000 to win for his part in the co-headliner that could determine the next No. 1 contender in the lightweight division.
