Bellator welterweight title contender Rory MacDonald is currently campaigning to the DASH cryptocurrency community aka. “DASH Nation” to sponsor him for his fight against Douglas Lima on Jan. 20.
MacDonald is a well known supporter of the cryptocurrency community and uses his social media profiles on a daily basis to promote the crypto markets. The Canadian will challenge for the Bellator 170-pounds title next month and he’s currently looking to get the support from the DASH community to sponsor him for the fight.
On his campaign page, MacDonald is asking for 330 DASH (worth $369,998 on 29/12/2017) for the fight. This will buy the community the following exposure:
“Rory has committed to wearing Dash branded outerwear for his many public appearances leading up to the fight, during the “walk-out”, during the fight and after the fight. As part of the sponsorship, GreenCandle will be sending a swag package to Rory for his pre-fight interviews and gym workouts to have Dash on full display for the build-up of the event. Rory will be tweeting about Dash and possibly mention it during interviews. During the walk-out, Dash-branded attire will be seen front and center on the t-shirt and shorts. During the fight, Dash will be visible on the shorts and after the fight with a Dash “trucker” hat. A representative from GC will be at the event to insure Dash has maximum exposure.”
MacDonald also states on the campaign page that he think he will be a perfect advocate for the DASH brand:
“Rory is non-controversial, has never tested positive for any performance-enhancing drugs and is the ideal type of athlete for Dash to sponsor. Clean, professional demeanor, hard-working and representative of the values Dash Nation promotes and is compatible with the image and brand that Dash Core is seeking. If Dash Core could develop an athlete, we believe someone like Rory would be the archetype.”
In order to for the sponsorship to go ahead, MacDonald needs 724 votes. As of 05:46am UK time, he needs a further 72 votes to make the sponsorship pass in the next 24-hours. You can check out Rory’s campaign HERE.
