Darren Till And Mike Perry Share Christmas Wishes And Agree To ‘Go To F—ing War’
Just when you thought Christmas would pass with everyone being nice to each other, UFC welterweights Darren Till and Mike Perry get into an exchange on Twitter.
Perry, who dropped a unanimous decision loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio 8 days ago, reached out to Till this evening on Twitter and had a special birthday and Christmas message for his Liverpudlian rival.
“#HappyBirthday @darrentill2 and #MerryChristmas , for a gift I’d like to give you a contract with my name on it. We’ll make it happen. Until then don’t lose that 0 and remember nobody wants to stand and fight you like I do. #TheyreAllGonnaRun”
Till, who is coming off the biggest win of his career to Donald Cerrone in October (watch HERE), took just a matter of minutes to respond and he too spread the festive cheers before laying down the gauntlet to his American rival.
“Thanks for the well wishes… same to you!! The 0 is staying don’t worry about that… and yes I’ll sign it! Let’s go to fucking war if that’s what you want! Rankings and losses mean fuck all to me!!!”

Could Perry vs Till be a fight we see in 2018? The UFC matchmakers usually stay clear of booking fighters who are coming off wins against fighters that are coming off losses, but this fight could be the odd exception.
The two first butted heads after Till’s win against Cerrone in Gdansk. Perry was serving as a guest fighter and throughout the week exchanged verbals with one another. The night ended with Till and Perry exchanging words through the cage and both men seemingly want to fight there and then.
The UFC visit Perry’s home state of Florida on Feb. 24 for UFC on Fox 27, while just a few weeks later the promotion then visit London on March 17. Either would be the perfect home for such a fight, but it’s now down to the UFC matchmakers to see if it’s a fight they want to make happen.
