Jimi Manuwa Is Not Happy So Many Light Heavyweights Have Turned Down a Fight with Him

Jimi Manuwa explains his frustration that so many top fighters have turned down a fight with him

Jimi Manuwa is looking for a fight.

Unfortunately, according to the British knockout artist, nobody seems willing to face him on the upcoming UFC Fight Night card in London.

Manuwa spouted off over social media just recently while calling out several top fighters — including Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Glover Teixeira — for reportedly turning down the opportunity to face him in early 2018.

Of course, Teixeira just came off a first round finish against Misha Cirkunov earlier this month so it’s probably understandable why he wasn’t looking for a quick turn around but there’s no word on when “Shogun” will be ready to return to the Octagon.

As for Manuwa, he continues to search for a willing opponent as he hopes to fight close to home when the UFC returns to London in March.

Perhaps the toughest part for Manuwa is that he’s already fought a number of the top 15 ranked light heavyweights but he’s still waiting for the UFC to find hime a worthy foe as he looks to bounce back from a knockout loss suffered in July when he faced off with top ranked contender Volkan Oezdemir.
