KSW Strip Featherweight Champion Of Title After Missing Weight At KSW 41
KSW 41 has unfortunately lost a title fight after their featherweight champion Kleber Koike Erbst was stripped of his title for missing weight by more than 3-pounds for his fight with Artur Sowinksi tomorrow.
Erbst was the last fighter to hit the scales at the early morning weigh-ins this morning and registered 67.2kg (148.1-pounds). With 20-minutes still left to hit the mark, the champion decided to not cut any further weight and take his punishment.
KSW immediately announced that Erbst would be stripped of his title and fined 40% of his fight purse. The fight with Sowinski will still take place and Sowinski is still eligible to take the title home should he beat Erbst tomorrow.
Outside of that, all other fighters successfully made weight at the Novotel Centrum hotel in Katowice, Poland this morning.
