Europe’s largest MMA sportsbook OHMBET has opened up a betting line for whether UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov will make weight at UFC 219.
The official line is: ‘Khabib Nurmagomedov to miss weight on first attempt’ and the odds are currently +180 American / 2.80 Decimal / 9/5 Fractional.*

Yesterday, Nurmagomedov attended a media event in Los Angeles where he spoke to MMA Junkie about his weight three weeks out from his fight with Edson Barboza. Suffice to say, the Russian wasn’t going to reveal anything and he said it was a question that no reporter should even be asking him.
“Not big,” Nurmagomedov said. “Asking fighters how much they weigh and how old they are is not a good idea.
“How old are you and how much do you weigh [are] two questions you can’t ask women and fighters.”
Despite not revealing his current weight, Nurmagomedov insisted that everything in his camp had gone to plan and that he’s taken his training and preparation more seriously than ever.
The Russian was of course involved in a worrying situation back at UFC 209 earlier this year when he was hospitalized with kidney pains during his weight cut. His fight for the interim UFC lightweight title was cancelled just 36-hours ahead of the event and it caused uproar in the MMA community given he’d been shown feasting on the popular Italian dessert tiramisu just days before on UFC Embedded.
Nurmagomedov insists that there will be no repeat performance this time around, but he’s had well documented difficulties making weight before. It’s all eyes on the early morning weigh-ins at UFC 219 to see if Nurmagomedov can live up to his promises.
