Paige VanZant vs. Jessica Rose Clark In the Works for UFC Fight Night in St. Louis

It looks like Paige VanZant has finally booked her flyweight debut.

It appears Paige VanZant has finally booked her flyweight debut as she’s expected to face Jessica Rose-Clark at the UFC Fight Night card in St. Louis on Jan. 14.

Rose-Clark confirmed the bout via her Instagram account following an initial report from MMAFighting.come earlier this week. Separate sources indicated when speaking to MMANytt.com that the fighters have verbally agreed to the matchup taking place in early 2018.

It’s been a tumultuous road for VanZant to get her first fight at 125 pounds.

The former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant was originally booked for a fight against Jessica Eye at UFC 216 but fell off the event due to a back injury. VanZant was the later rumored for matchups against both Eye and former UFC women’s bantamweight title contender Valentina Shevchenko, but neither fight came together.

Now VanZant has got an opponent as she faces a veteran opponent in Rose-Clark who just made her UFC debut last weekend with a split decision victory over Bec Rawlings in Australia.

UFC Fight Night from St. Louis will take place on Jan. 14 and air live on FS1.
