Cat Zingano Expected to Return Against Ketlen Vieira at UFC 222

Cat Zingano is back.

The former women’s bantamweight title challenger has booked her return against undefeated Brazilian fighter Ketlen Vieira at UFC 222 on March 3 in Las Vegas.

Sources close to the matchup confirmed the news on Saturday following an initial report from MMABrasil.

Zingano has been out of action since losing a unanimous decision to Julianna Pena at UFC 200 in 2016. Since that time, Zingano has been training out of the Alliance Training Center in San Diego while waiting to return to full health to book her return fight.

Zingano was briefly attached to a possible fight at 145 pounds against Cris “Cyborg” Justino but the matchup never came together.

Now she’ll face Vieira, who is coming off a very impressive submission win over former title contender Sara McMann earlier this year.

UFC 222 will take place at the T-Mobile Arena from Las Vegas on March 3.
