Cody Garbrandt releases sparring footage featuring knockdown against TJ Dillashaw
Cody Garbrandt has long talked about a video featuring a sparring session where he knocked down former teammate T.J. Dillashaw and now he’s released the footage.
Garbrandt dropped the video on Instagram following a heated exchange with Dillashaw on stage at the UFC 217 pre-fight press conference where the former champion denied that the knockout ever happened.
Well, Garbrandt decided now was the perfect time to release the footage showing a quick clip from a sparring session that took place while he was still training with Dillashaw at Team Alpha Male in Sacramento.
“This guy is a liar,” Garbrandt wrote on Instagram along with the video. “He said I never KO’d him, that there is no video! Also that he has never took [performance enhancing drugs] and he never cheap shotted a former teammate, stealing his dream from under him!
“F–k you TJ Dillashaw. Hey Dana White, get that knockout bonus check, I’m ready to collect it!!”
Garbrandt faces Dillashaw in the co-main event at UFC 217 on Saturday night.
