Fight Society: Michael Bisping, Cody Garbrandt and Colby Covington
On a stacked Fight Society podcast, UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping talks about his upcoming fight with Georges St-Pierre, his thoughts on retirement and much more.
Of course, Bisping never holds his tongue and that includes his thoughts on St-Pierre adding famed boxing coach Freddie Roach to his corner this weekend at UFC 217.
“I just commented this morning — the has been, the never was and the never will,” Bisping said about St-Pierre and his coaching staff. “Georges is the has been, his striking coach is the never was and the never will is Freddie Roach. Cause he knows f–k all about MMA. He probably couldn’t even spell MMA.”
UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt also joins the show to discuss his long simmering rivalry with TJ Dillashaw and the chances he drops down to 125 pounds to face Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson next.
Garbrandt will also address allegations about Dillashaw going a little too rough during his training sessions while he was still a member of Team Alpha Male.
“Honestly, he was a fierce competitor. He liked to compete. He didn’t like to lose. He didn’t like to give an inch. With that said, he was willing to cheat at any cost to win…a round, anything, willing to cheap shot,” Garbrandt said. “He’s a cheap shotting bastard.
“I don’t stand for that, especially with your teammates. That’s what it is. I lost respect for him after seeing truly who he was in the room amongst his friends.”
Colby Covington also drops by to detail his weekend in Brazil and whether or not he regrets anything he said to the crowd. All this and more on the latest Fight Society podcast.
