Aldo vs. Lamas 2, Perry vs. Ponzinibbio on deck for UFC Fight Night in Canada
The upcoming UFC card in Canada just got a lot bigger.
On Friday, the UFC announced two new fights headed to Winnipeg on Dec. 16 including former featherweight champion Jose Aldo facing off with top five ranked opponent Ricardo Lamas in the co-main event.
A welterweight bout with violence written all over it will also take place as knockout artist Santiago Ponzinibbio faces off with ultra-aggressive striker Mike Perry.

The matchup between Aldo and Lamas will actually be a rematch from 2014. On that night, Aldo defeated Lamas to defend his featherweight title.
Now three years later, Lamas will look for vengeance while also trying to get back into the title picture as well.
As for the matchup between Ponzinibbio and Perry, it appears on paper to be one of the most crowd pleasing fights made by the UFC in 2017.
Perry is best known for his aggressive, hard hitting style while Ponzinibbio might be one of the most vicious strikers in the welterweight division fresh off a knockout over Gunnar Nelson in his last fight.
These two new bouts join the main event that was previously announced as Robbie Lawler faces off with Rafael dos Anjos in a welterweight showdown that will determine the next opponent to face champion Tyron Woodley.
