Georges St-Pierre inks his bout agreement to face Michael Bisping at UFC 217

Georges St-Pierre is back…this time officially.

The longest reigning welterweight champion in UFC history has finally inked his bout agreement to face Michael Bisping on Nov. 4 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

St-Pierre released a photo signing his contract on Wednesday.

The fight will not only serve as St-Pierre’s first time back in the UFC in four years but he will also be moving up a division to compete for the middleweight title.

Currently the UFC only boasts three past champions — Randy Couture, B.J. Penn and Conor McGregor — who have held titles in two different divisions.

St-Pierre looks to become the fourth as he challenges Bisping for the 185-pound title in November.

It was no easy task to book St-Pierre’s return to the Octagon after months of back and forth with UFC president Dana White first confirming the fight with Bisping and then later saying it was no longer happening.

Finally at UFC 214 last month, White made the fight official while giving St-Pierre the matchup he always wanted against Bisping with the middleweight title on the line.

More fights will be added to UFC 217 in the coming weeks with at least one more title fight likely taking place on the card.
